Hunt Training

We continue with hunt training with goal of obtaining Junior Hunter Titles. I surprise myself at how happy I am when I see the natural instincts coming out. Both girls love getting out in the field! The hardest part I think is training ME.

We started the day with a walk at the Lake. We had the place all to ourselves!

Cousins gather together at Auntie's house. Did Santa leave treats? Dinner was later at Grandma's. Yum. A good day!

Beware of the foxtail

Yesterday we headed out on a trail in one of our favorite places. I didn't think foxtails were a problem at this elevation and we saw lots of dogs out walking. Within minutes Rosie was shaking her head. We quickly headed to the nearest vet and $300 later the foxtail was removed. Poor Rosie! Be especially careful in the tall grasses. I think our next outing will be to the beach!

Rosie was ON today and rocked doing rally! She finished her RN title (Rally Novice) in first place in Novice A. Cousin Harley also did great earning his first leg with his first try and also bringing home a ribbon for third place. Good job guys. Your moms are so proud of you! Now Rosie and I have the same letters after our name!
